Father of slain Maldivian blogger Yameen Rasheed addressing a press conference in Colombo today plead for justice for his son.

Yameen was found dead in the stairwell of his apartment on Sunday (23) with multiple stab wounds.

His death came at a time the Maldivian government has increased its crackdown on political dissidents.

Hussain Rasheed plead with the international community to initiate an investigation into the murder of his son, who was found with over 14 stab wounds and a slit throat. 

He is the third media person to be targeted in the past five years. 

Yameen Rasheed poked fun at the country's politician on his blog the 'Daily Panic'.
