The Sri Jayawardenapura Hospital has made a decision to stop admitting patients until 5 O’ clock in the evening.

 Hospital sources had cited an overcrowding of dengue patients as reason for their decision to stop admitting patients.

 There has been a spike in dengue related deaths in the island of late, with as many as 195 having died in the first six months of this year.
