Champaka Ramanayake Resigns As Fast Bowling Coach: Vaas Slated To Take Over

Former Sri Lankan cricketer Champaka Ramanayake has resigned as fast bowling coach of the national team, sources close to Sri Lanka Cricket say.

Former Sri Lankan cricketer Chaminda Vaas is slated to take over fast bowling training, in his stead.

Champaka Ramanayake, an old boy of Richmond College, Galle, played 18 Tests and 62 ODIs from 1986 to 1995.

Vaas currently holds the record for the best bowling figure in ODI history, and is the only bowler to take 8 wicket-haul in ODIs.
