Language Classes For Parliamentarians: Mano Ganesan Implores MPs Not To Behave At Class The Way They Behave In House

National Co-existence, Dialogue and Official Languages Minister Mano Ganesan has decided to set up language classes in the Parliamentary complex.

Speaking to reporters yesterday he said, “Sinhala MPs must learn Tamil, and Tamil MPs must learn Sinhalese.”

The Minister, who said he had only learned Sinhalese after coming into Parliament, said it was times the ‘leaders’ set example for the rest of the citizens.

“That is how it must be done, no?” he queried of the reporters.

The National Co-existence, Dialogue and Official Languages Minister also took the occasion to implore MPs not to behave at the class the way they behave in Parliament.

The class, according to the Minister, is scheduled to be held on the upcoming Friday (11).
