Army Rowers Represent Sri Lanka At Asian Rowing Competitions in Thailand

Thirteen Army rowers participated in the Asian Rowing Competition held in Pattaya in Thailand during 4 - 8 September representing the Sri Lanka Army Rowing Committee.

The competition was attended by sportsmen representing 22 Countries.

The following achievements were secured by Army rowers in different events;

In the pairs rowing event, Lance Corporal E.P.N Prasad and Private P.G.C.S Karunarathne were selected for the final rounds.

In the Double Scull event Lieutenant M.B.C.H Liyanage and Lance Corporal M.M.J.W Marasinghe were selected for the final round.

In the Double Scull event and Coxless Fours, Lance Corporal M.M.J.W. Marasinghe was selected to the semi-final round.

In the Coxless Four event, Lance Corporal S.G.S.K Weerakoon was selected for the semi-final round.

In the Coxless Four event, Lance Corporal P.P.T.S Weerasinghe was selected to the semi-final round.

In the Coxless Four event, Private SM.P.M Medora was selected for the semi-final round.

In the Coxless Four event, Private W.G.R Chintaka was selected for the semi-final round.
