Traffic In Hatton Due To Protest By Ceylon Workers Congress: Police Advise Commuters To Use Alternate Routes

Heavy traffic had been reported from Hatton town due to a protest by the Ceylon Workers’ Congress (CWC).

The CWC is demanding the government refrain from changing the name of the Thondaman Vocational Training Centre.

They are also asking that the Norwood Thondaman Football Stadium – which was recently renamed – is restored to its original name.

The protest has caused severe traffic in the Hatton town and police advised commuters to use alternate routes to escape traffic.
