A.L.M. Nazeer took oaths as a UNP national list Parliamentarian, a short while ago. 

Nazeer replaces A.H.M Salman who resigned from his Parliamentary seat, a few weeks ago. 

Both Nazeer and Salman are members of the Sri Lanka Muslim Congress. 

Nazeer has previously served as a member of the Eastern Provincial Council and a Provincial Minister.
