Namal Says Reports On Alleged Attack Targeting Sirasa Suspicious: Adds It Can Be A Planned Incident To Add To Chaos

Parliamentarian Namal Rajapaksa said reports on alleged attacks targeting the Sirasa TV headquarters were 'suspicious' as the media organization had suddenly retracted their tweets.

Sirasa, owned by Rajendran Rajamahendra alias Killy Maharaja, launched a scathing attacks on Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe in the run-up to the no-confidence motion against him.

"Was ’s really attacked last night? They suddenly retracted their tweets. Please clarify: Was this an actual attack against a organization or was this a planned incident to add to the chaos?," Rajapaksa tweeted.

However, it was reported last night that a group of jubilant UNP supporters had lit firecrackers near the entrance of the TV station last night to celebrate the victory of Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe.
