Veteran author and script writer Somaweera Senanayake has passed away at the age of 74.
An author of some of best selling Sinhala novels such as Yashorawaya and Menik Nadiya Gala basee, he also contributed to some land mark Sinhala teledramas siuch as Palingu Menike, Asalwesiyo, Kandegedara and Giraya as a script writer.
He was born on 25th of November 1944 in Avissawella and received his degree from the Vidyodaya University.
He also worked as a journalist as the Associated Newspapers of Ceylon Limited, commonly known as the Lake House.
