Court Grants Permission To Examine Bank Accounts Of Five Air Force Officers Including Former Commander

The Colombo Fort Magistrate today granted permission to examine bank accounts of five senior Air Force officials in connection with the MIG deal. 

Among them is a former Air Force Commander, Asian Mirror learns. 

The AG's Department requested permission to examine 40 bank accounts opened by the high-ranking Air Force officials. 

The investigation is handled by the Police Financial Crimes Investigations Division (FCID).

The accounts would be examined to ascertain if there was any act of misappropriation during the MIG deal.
