Minister of Power and Energy Pavithra Wanniarachchi has been admitted to the Bandarawela hospital a few minutes ago.

She has been rushed to the Bandarawela Hospital while she was on  her way to a workshop conducted by the UPFA Women’s Association, in Wiyaluwa. 

She is presently receiving treatment at the OPD of Bandarawela Hospital.

Speaking to Asian Mirror, a hospital spokesman said her condition was not critical. However, the spokesman declined to disclose the illness of the UPFA Minister. 

Sources close to Wanniarachchi said she was taking part in a number of meetings in the Uva Province over the past few days and played a significant role in the UPFA election propaganda campaign.
