Kishu Gomes Indirectly Endorses Rohan Pallewatte: Says He Brought 80 Million USD Into Country Last Year

Business leader Kishu Gomes featured Rohan Pallewatte, a businessman and a potential Presidential candidate for 2020, on his official social media profiles.

Pallewatte, who is now holding district-wise meetings across the country to promote his party, has clearly stated he will run for Presidency at the next election.

The post prompted some quarters to ask if Gomes was indirectly promoting Pallewatte's presidential bid.

"With the Iconic SL business leader and billionaire, Rohan Pallewaththa who is vying for Presidential candidature during the next presidential election who has pledged to settle the country’s total debt of USD 45 billion just overnight after becoming the President of SL," Gomes said, in his post.

"He has brought in an income of USD 80 million to the country during last year with his global market dominance supplying impact sensors for vehicle airbags to almost all top vehicle brands in the world such as Toyota, Honda, BMW, Volvo, Aston martin, Ford etc.," his social media post also added.
