Sri Lankan President Maithripala Sirisena has written to former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi wishing him speedy recovery. 

The Sri Lankan President, in his letter, conveyed the prayers of the Sri Lankan government and its people.

It is learnt that representatives of Sri Lanka President, Sirisena, yesterday visited Kauvery hospital where former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister was undergoing treatment.

The 95 year old politician was admitted to hospital on Saturday following a serious illness.
