Fast bowler Kasun Rajitha and spinner Prabhath Jayasuriya have made their ODI debut during the second match against South Africa, in Dambulla, today.
Rajitha has previously represented Sri Lanka in the T20 and Test formats. His ODI debut was against India, in Pune, in 2016.
Jayasuriya was a member of the Chairman's XI which played a warm-up match against South Africa before the start of the ODI series.
"Prabath is six feet tall, and he has 95% consistency, so he's very good in that regard. He turns the ball a little, but what he mostly relies on is bounce, which he gets a lot of. He doesn't flight it so much, and his pace is a bit faster," Sri Lanka's spin bowling coach Piyal Wijetunga said about Jayasuriya.
Sri Lanka has dropped Lahiru Kumara and Lakshan Sandakan from the playing XI.
