After Weeks Of Depreciation Sri Lanka Rupee Gains Value Against US Dollar: Sees An Increase Of Rs. 1.33 Today

After weeks of continuous depreciation, the Sri Lankan rupee today saw an appreciation against the US Dollar. 

According to the Central Bank, the Sri Lankan rupee was valued at Rs, 171.60 today against the US Dollar. 

It was an increase of Rs. 1.33 from where it stood yesterday.

The Sri Lankan currency plummetted to a record low of Rs. 172 against the US Dollar. 

During the period between January 01 and October 10, the Sri Lankan currency saw a depreciation of 10.8%. 

However, the Sri Lankan rupee has appreciated 3.1% against the Indian Rupee.
