Anandasangaree's Son To Contest Canada's General Election

Gary Anandasangaree, son of TULF Leader V. Anandasangaree, has won the nomination election for the Scarborough Rouge Park constituency on behalf of the Liberal Party in Canada.

Thereby, he will contest as the Liberal Party candidate for the Canadian Parliament in the next general election.

Gary Anandasangaree is a prominent lawyer and is said to have considerable support within the Liberal Party leadership.

The nomination election was held on August 20 to select the next Federal Liberal candidate for the Scarborough Rouge-Park constituency. The three candidates for the nomination race were Gary Anandasangaree, Bhardwaj Ashwani and Michael Johnson.

TNA Leader R Sampanthan released a statement a few days ago, endorsing the candidature of Gary anandasangaree.

The next Canadian General Election is tentatively set for October 2015. The Liberal Party hopes to make a political comeback under Justin Trudeau, son of former Prime Minister Pierre Trudeau, after their shattering election loss in 2011.
