Well-known musician Jananath Warakagoda has been arrested by the Police over an accident in Kirillawala that killed a woman. 

The musician has been remanded until March 18. 

Warakagoda, the son of veteran artistes Wijeratne Warakagoda and Chithra Warakagoda, is a former member of Bathiya and Santhush music group. 

He is considered a specialist in Sri Lankan folk music and has been featured in a number of international concerts.
