Well-known Sri Lankan vocalist Angeline Gunathilake passed away this evening, her family sources said, 

Gunathilake, whose career in music spanned seven decades, was 79 at the time of her demise. 

Family sources said she passed away while receiving treatments at the Colombo National Hospital. 

She was one of the leading playback singers in Sri Lanka and sang many songs with the late H.R. Jothipala. 

Her funeral arrangments are yet to be announced.
