"Two Suspects Wanted Over Easter Sunday Blasts Died In Sainthamardu Explosion: One Hospitalised And Three Arrested": Police Spokesman

Police Media Spokesman SP Ruwan Gunasekera said the Criminal Investigations Department was currently questioning 44 people in relation to the Easter Sunday explosions which killed 250 people. 

He also added that 15 suspects are currently under the custody of the Terrorist Investigations Division (TID). 

The Police Spokesman added that all six people, whom Police sought public assistance to apprehend, have been identified. 

"Two of them died in the suicide explosion in Sainthamardu and one has been hospitalized. Police have already arrested three individuals," he added. 

The Police Media Spokesman added that curfew would be reimposed in Samanthurai, Kalmunai and Chawalakadai areas from 6 PM today to 8 AM tomorrow. 

The Police lifted the curfew in these areas this morning as the situation returned to normalcy.
