A weapon snatched from one of the murdered police officers had been used by the same group to shoot an individual in the Kegalle district.

Terrorist leader Zaharan Hashim's driver, who was arrested in the aftermath of the Easter Sunday explosions, told the police that the murders were carried out by Zaharans group.
