Former Minister Patali Champika Ranawaka has been remanded till December 24.

His bail application was rejected by the Colombo Magistrate's Court, a short while ago.

Ranawaka was arrested by the Colombo Crimes Division (CCD) yesterday over a 2016 accident that left a youth injured.

He was first produced before the Magistrate last night and was remanded till today.
