The Police today said two men, Niminda Priyadharshana and Duhmantha Amila, were arrested for spreading misinformation and fake news about #COVID19 on social media.

The twp had spread false information about "deaths" caused by the COVID-19 outbreak in Sri Lanka.

The Police also added that 40 more people were under investigation in relation to the same matter.
