President Gotahaya Rajapaksa will deliver an address to the nation today at 8 PM.

The President will address the nation amidst mounting calls to enforce a shutdown in the country and postpone the General Election.

The calls intensified last night after the Government Information Department announced that 28 people were tested positive for COVID-19.

As an immediate response, the government declared a three-day last night.
