President Says Decisions On Curfew Should Not Be Made At Regional Levels: Says All Decisions Should Be Made By Presidential Task Force

President Gotabhaya Rajapaksa said imposing and lifting of curfew should not happen at regional levels.

"Declaring/lifting curfew or isolation is a decision made after analyzing all critical data at the highest level of government," Rajapaksa tweeted in view of the incident which took place in Kotte.

"Any data that’s relevant to this decision making, must be shared with the COVID19 Presidential Task Force. Ad-hoc decisions shouldn’t be taken at the regional level," the President also said.
