Veteran film actor Tissa Wijesurendra has passed away.

The actor was 71 at the time of his demise.

He was one of the most popular movie stars in the 1970s.

He also played several notable roles in teledramas and was often described as one of the most handsome actors ever to have graced the Sri Lankan cinema.

Wijesurendra leaves behind his wife and three daughters.
