SIS Police Officer Who Foiled Rs. 7.9 Million Robbery At Colombo National Hospital Dies In Road Accident At Thummulla Junction

Sithum Alahapperuma, an SIS Police Constable who foiled the Rs. 7.9 Million robbery at the Colombo National Hospital has died early this morning.

He was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit of the Colombo National Accident following a fatal accident at the Thummulla junction on June 11. The officer was 22 years old at the time of his demise.

The Police sources said the defender involved in the accident was driven by a reckless young man who rammed into him. He was admitted to the hospital with critical injuries.
