Former Parliamentarian Mervin Silva’s son Malaka Silva has been arrested by the Thalangama Police for allegedly posing death threats and soliciting money from a businessman, Police said.
The suspect, who is to be produced in Kaduwela Magistrate’s Court soon, had allegedly demanded money from a businessman in Battaramulla for Mervyn Silva’s election campaign few weeks ago. Later the suspect had telephoned the victim and threatened to kill him.
