The Arachchikattuwa police are investigating an unusual incident that occurred on the night of the 6th in the Arachchikattuwa - Halambawatawana area on the Chills e - Puttalam road.

Around 10:45 pm, law enforcement officers were attempting to apprehend a motorcyclist who was reportedly violating police orders. During the arrest operation, an unexpected turn of events unfolded when the individual on the motorcycle bit the hand of a police constable from the traffic section of the Arachchikattuwa police. Subsequently, the offender managed to escape, leaving the injured officer behind.

The injured constable was promptly rushed to the Chillaw Hospital, where he received medical attention and was later discharged.

The Arachchikattuwa Police are actively pursuing further investigations to identify and apprehend the suspect involved in this unusual and confrontational incident.
