Minor Program Alteration Poses Serious Risk to Sri Lanka, Warns Government

During a press conference at the Presidential Media Centre, Minister of Transport, Highways, and Mass Media, Dr. Bandula Gunawardena, cautioned that even a minor adjustment to the ongoing government program could severely destabilize Sri Lanka.
He emphasized the precarious economic situation, noting a significant decrease in economic growth and an alarming rise in poverty.
Minister Gunawardena highlighted President Ranil Wickremesinghe's efforts in rebuilding the nation, including settling outstanding bills with the Road Development Authority (RDA) and negotiating agreements with international creditors. He stressed the importance of adhering to the current economic strategy to mitigate risks and ensure future stability.
