An individual linked to the double murder in Horana has been fatally shot during a police shootout in Angamuwa, Padukka.
Identified as a member of the Sri Lanka Air Force, the suspect defied orders to stop at a checkpoint during a joint Police-STF operation.The confrontation escalated when the motorcyclist opened fire at law enforcement, resulting in injuries inflicted upon him as the police retaliated. Unfortunately, the suspect succumbed to his injuries upon admission to Padukka Hospital. Police have strongly hinted at the deceased's involvement in the shooting that claimed two lives in Moragahahena, Horana, just a day prior.
