The Meteorology Department has issued a warning indicating that showery conditions are expected to persist due to a low-level atmospheric disturbance near Sri Lanka.

showers or thundershowers are likely to occur at various locations across most provinces of the island after 1:00 p.m. Heavy showers, reaching about 100mm, are anticipated in Western, Central, Sabaragamuwa, and Uva provinces.

 showers may also occur along the Western and Southern coastal areas during the morning hours.
