Opposition’s common candidate Mathripala Sirisena will be addressing a public meeting organized by the Young Professionals Organization of United National Party on Saturday at 9.00 am at the New Town Hall.

UNP Assistant Leader Ravi Karunanayake, former Vice President of the UNP Imthiaz Bakeer Markar and YPO President and the Chief Opposition Whip of the Western Provincial Council Harshana Rajakaruna shall also address the gathering themed, the “The Presidential Election, the Future and You”.

“Young professionals are keen to hear from the common candidate Maithripala Sirisena on issues such as good governance, economic growth, rule of law and social welfare. We invite all those who wish to listen to his policies on key national issues to attend the meeting”, said Harshana Rajakaruna. 

Western Provincial Councillor and Chairman of the UNP Young Professionals’ Organisation (YPO), Harshana Rajakaruna said the organization for the young professionals was formed to encourage them to play an active political role in the country's politics in a bid to pave the way for a good alternative government.

The Common Candidate's meeting with the UNP young professionals comes a few days after his meeting with the business community of the country.
