United National Party Deputy Leader and Hambantota Parliamentarian Sajith Premadasa slammed the crossover rumors that are circulating about him.

Speaking at a public meeting in Beliatta in Hambantota District, Premadasa asked if he, the son of the former president Ranasinghe Premadasa who lay down his life for the party, will leave the UNP.

He added that such rumors have now become the biggest joke of the presidential election campaign.

He said that these rumors are mainly circulating across social media such as Facebook, Twitter and even mobile SMS.

Despite claims of his crossover, Sajith Premadasa has taken part in the election campaign of Maithripala Sirisena during the past weeks.
