Lanka C News, a news website that made headlines following the announcement of the Presidential Election, has reportedly come under a cyber-attack.

Due to the cyber-attack the website is temporarily not functioning. Lanka C News was strongly critical of the opposition and its leaders in the recent past.

Speaking to Asian Mirror a staff member of the website said an organized group launched the cyber-attack on Tuesday morning.

It is widely considered that the website is affiliated with Minister Wimal Weerawansa.
