Sri Lanka Releases All Indian Fishermen In Custody

Ahead of a visit by its Foreign Minister on Saturday, Sri Lanka released 15 Indian fishermen, leaving none in their custody.

The Indian government is making arrangements for their early return, the Spokesperson of the External Affairs Ministry said. "All free. With release of 15 Indian fishermen today. No more Indian fishermen in Sri Lankan custody. Arrangement being made for early return," the Spokesperson tweeted.

In his first foreign tour after assuming office, newly- appointed Foreign Minister of Sri Lanka, Mangala Samaraweera, will arrive in India today.
