National Freedom Front (NFF) Leader and Former Minister Wimal Weerawansa arrived at the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption this morning.
Weerewansa was summoned by the Bribery Commission to be questioned further on the complaints against him. He arrived at about 9.30am, a spokesperson of Weerawansa told ‘Asian Mirror.’
He was summoned earlier to the commission on March 9.
The 2015 Presidential Election Candidate of the Our National Front Attorney-at-Law Namal Ajith Rajapaksha filed a complaint against Wimal Weerawansa in mid-January about assets acquired by Weerawansa during the six years he served as a minister.
Filing the complaint, the Attorney-at-Law told Weerawansa had amassed an immeasurable amount of wealth and there are two massive houses under construction in Kaduwela.
