Sri Lanka Freedom Party General Secretary Anura Priyadarshana Yapa dismissed reports of his impending dismissal from his post, saying that those reports were just rumors.

Speaking to Asian Mirror a short while ago, he said that no one in SLFP have considered such a move. He explained that the party Chairman or the Central Committee must take such a decision.

Yapa also commented on the controversial booklet distributed at a SLFP press conference recently. Anyone can have his or her own beliefs, but expressing it as the position of the party is not correct, Yapa said.

He also said that he will submit a report on the matter to the party Central Committee. The Central Committee will then discuss the matter, he added.
