President Maithripala Sirisena is meeting a group of United People's Freedom Alliance leaders at his official residence in Wijerama Mawatha.

Reports said that the meeting will focus on the nominations lists of the UPFA.

UPFA General Secretary Susil Premajayantha said yesterday that the alliance will grant nominations for Mahinda Rajapaksa supporters and Maithripala Sirisena supporters. However, reports indicated that several Rajapaksa supporters will not be granted nomination. Meanwhile, although former President Mahinda Rajapaksa was granted nominations, the Sirisena camp has reportedly imposed several conditions on Rajapaksa.
