September 26, 2016

Nick Lee, the former Kent batsman and the current Sussex strength and conditioning coach, has been appointed as Sri Lanka's trainer. He replaces the former Hampshire strength and conditioning coach, Michael Main, and will work with the team from next month, Sri Lanka Cricket announced on Sunday (September 25).

Main was initially appointed as a trainer last year for a period of two years but he left his position at the conclusion of Sri Lanka's home series against Australia.

Lee has played 13 first-class matches in his career scoring 490 runs at a modest average of 30.62 with his last appearance coming in 2010.
