The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) today arrested three individuals in connection with the murder of Weligama Pradeshiya Sabha Chairman Lasantha Wickramasekera.

Police said the suspects were taken into custody in the Kekirawa area and confirmed that one of them is a woman.

Further investigations into the incident are underway.
