USD 600,000 goes missing in Sri Lanka Post payment to US Postal Service

USD 600,000 goes missing in Sri Lanka Post payment to US Postal Service

An investigation has been launched into the disappearance of a further $600,000 remitted by Sri Lanka Post to the United States Postal Service, Cabinet Spokesman and Minister Nalinda Jayatissa said.

Addressing the weekly Cabinet media briefing, he stated that the probe was initiated following a complaint by the US Postal Service over non-receipt of the payment.

Jayatissa added that investigations are currently underway into the incident.
