Dollar selling rate rises to Rs. 323

The Sri Lankan rupee depreciated further against the US dollar across several commercial banks today (30), compared to Wednesday, with the selling rate reaching as high as Rs. 323 at some banks.

According to Seylan Bank, the buying rate of the US dollar increased from Rs. 315.10 to Rs. 316, while the selling rate rose from Rs. 322.85 to Rs. 323.75.

At NDB Bank, the buying and selling rates remained unchanged at Rs. 316.25 and Rs. 322.75, respectively.

People’s Bank reported a marginal increase in the buying rate from Rs. 315.82 to Rs. 316.07, while the selling rate rose from Rs. 322.79 to Rs. 323.04.

Meanwhile, Commercial Bank of Ceylon maintained its rates unchanged at Rs. 314.29 for buying and Rs. 322.75 for selling.

At Sampath Bank, the buying rate increased from Rs. 316 to Rs. 316.25, while the selling rate rose from Rs. 322.50 to Rs. 322.75.
