Gold prices decline in Sri Lanka in line with global market trends

Gold prices in Sri Lanka recorded a decline today, in line with movements in the global market, according to market sources.

Prices have fallen further compared to yesterday, reflecting a downward trend in international gold rates.

Accordingly, the price of an ounce of gold stood at Rs. 1,365,216, while the price of a 22-carat pound was reported at Rs. 353,200.

The price of 24-carat gold per gram was recorded at Rs. 48,160, while 22-carat and 21-carat gold per gram were priced at Rs. 44,150 and Rs. 42,140, respectively.

However, market sources noted that gold prices are subject to fluctuations, and advised buyers to reconfirm rates prior to making purchases.
