Rajangane Saddharathana Thera has been arrested again by the Central Crimes Investigation Bureau (CCIB) over allegations of issuing threats through social media against Ananda Wijepala and Priyantha Weerasooriya.

Police said the arrest followed investigations into statements allegedly made by the monk via a YouTube channel operated by him.

The investigations focused on remarks circulated on social media which allegedly contained threats directed at the Public Security Minister and the Inspector General of Police.
