The Sri Lankan rupee depreciated further against the US dollar across several commercial banks today (14), compared to Wednesday, with the selling rate surpassing Rs. 330 at some banks.
According to Seylan Bank, the buying rate of the US dollar increased from Rs. 318.25 to Rs. 321.75, while the selling rate rose from Rs. 326.50 to Rs. 330.50.
At NDB Bank, the buying rate increased from Rs. 320.50 to Rs. 323.25, while the selling rate rose from Rs. 327 to Rs. 329.75.
People’s Bank reported that the buying rate of the US dollar had increased from Rs. 320.27 to Rs. 323.73, while the selling rate rose from Rs. 327.33 to Rs. 330.87.
Meanwhile, Commercial Bank recorded an increase in the buying rate from Rs. 318.76 to Rs. 321.24, while the selling rate rose from Rs. 327.25 to Rs. 329.75.
At Sampath Bank, the buying rate increased from Rs. 320.75 to Rs. 324.25, while the selling rate rose from Rs. 327.25 to Rs. 330.75.
