Former media secretary of Wimal Weerawansa arrested

Former media secretary to ex-MP Wimal Weerawansa, Prasad Manju, has been arrested, police said.

According to police, he was taken into custody today (5) by the Financial Crimes Investigation Division (FCID).

Police said the arrest was made in connection with an investigation into a complaint alleging the misuse of vehicles and fuel belonging to the State Engineering Corporation of Sri Lanka during the period when Weerawansa served as a minister.
