Bandarawela Schoolgirl Injured in Laboratory Accident; NCPA Reviews Case

The incident involving Grade 11 student Nuwanjala Minsandali, who was injured in an accident at the science laboratory of Bandarawela Dharmashoka College, is currently under review by the National Child Protection Authority (NCPA), an official of the authority told Asian Mirror.

The official said that the NCPA had received a complaint regarding the incident and had initiated the relevant monitoring process.

He further stated that the authority had received two regulatory reports on the matter from the Mirihana and Bandarawela police stations.

According to the official, the student, who sustained injuries in the laboratory accident and received medical treatment, has since been discharged from hospital and returned home.
