A total of 18 shooting incidents have been reported so far this year, according to Police Headquarters.
The figure includes two shootings reported within the past 24 hours in the Piliyandala and Dehiwala Police divisions.
Police said 13 people have been killed and 10 others injured in the shooting incidents reported so far this year.
