Two Chinese Nationals to Face Identification Parade Over Port City Abduction and Murder

Two Chinese nationals arrested in connection with the abduction and murder of a fellow Chinese national near the Colombo Port City are due to be produced before court today (27) for an identification parade, Police said.

The incident occurred last Wednesday night while three Chinese nationals were fishing from a bridge within the Port City premises. A group of Chinese nationals who arrived in a van had allegedly assaulted them, restrained them and abducted one of the men.

The body of the abducted man was later recovered from the Karandana area in Eheliyagoda.

A post-mortem examination found that the victim had died from severe internal injuries caused by stab wounds.

Police investigations have further revealed that the victim, identified as Hao Song, had allegedly been involved in cybercrime.
