The Government Medical Officers’ Association (GMOA) today (30) decided to oppose the proposed 22nd Amendment to the Constitution, an association spokesperson said.
The decision was taken to safeguard the independence and impartiality of the judiciary and to confront any challenges that could undermine those principles.
The spokesperson said the GMOA’s Central Committee had unanimously adopted the decision and was prepared to work with the Bar Association of Sri Lanka (BASL) in future.
